Dear friends in Christ,
As per church general body’s advice and approval and long lead negotiations with Catholic church officials , here we are ready to move on to a new church for the convenience of consistency to celebrate Holy Qurbana and the functioning of spiritual organisations on Sunday without any interference.
We will be starting our regular Sunday services at St Brendan’s Catholic Church Moorooka (27 Hawtree street, Moorooka 4105)  from 12/11/17 and starting time will be 08.45am to begin with. We will be having the convenience of using both church and the hall for use of spiritual organisations.
The monthly prayer meetings will be conducted in the hall from 06.30pm to 08.30 pm on every last Saturday of the month.
Our church will be allowed to conduct all church events except for Onam stage program and Christmas stage program at Moorooka Church as there is no stage facility there. These two events may be organised at the St Brendan Primary School Hall, which is annexed to the church property. We will be paying a fortnightly hiring rate of $330.00 on a direct debit basis. The contract will be for one year and will be reviewed at the end of 12 months as per CPI.
I hope the advance notice would help each and everyone to rearrange the work and life situations to get ready to be the part of our Holy Qurbana in a traditional way, on a Sunday.
Thanking You

“AS CHASTENED, YET NOT KILLED”,(2 Corinthians 6:9)

HOLY AND GREAT LENT ,COME IN PEACE.Soul or Spirit is equally important in ones Life as Body.To earn physical strength ,nothing to do in great lent rather give prime importance to eternal life.We are bound by certain rules and regulations to attain eternal life through church just like the rules and regulations there in our official or worldly life to earn or to achieve which need strain. We may have to face difficulties to achieve the goal.

Focussing the topic,as punished yet not killed: As a parent, what will be your mindset towards your children?if makes mistakes or disobey you will punish and make them clear.Still you love and value the children more than yours.God will punish as you are his children. If you are not punishing your children for the reason (any that is against God) the bible called such children by the name “illegitimate” (Hebrew 12;5-11)So” my son do not despise the chastening of the lord
nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by him;for whom the lord loves he chastens…”(proverbs 3:12f and deut.8:5).Just meditate psalm 118:18 too….’the lord has punished me severely ,but he didnot give me over to death…’

THE PRAYER GIVES THE STRENGTH TO OVERCOME THE STRAINS AND DIFFICULTIES.WORD OF GOD WILL TEACH US TO SURRENDER THE LIFE TO GOD TO FULL FILL NOT OUR WILL OR WISH RATHER ‘THE LORD’S’.
